As time stops




Carried to brain in blood
Emotions overwhelmed, flood
Goosebumps mottle pale skin
Hair erect, needles and pins
Brow breaks perspiration's hold
A feeling that never grows old
Self becomes aware
In a world that isn’t there
Sounds enhanced
Colours pop 
As time 
Stops
